Macy's had requested an ad for the Red Wings playoffs that used their logo, the bright red star. The ad needed to have a white background which best showed off the red star.
I had wanted to create a motion effect, so I chose to use a hockey puck with a star on the top, then made it blurry in Adobe PhotoShop, which ended up showing the largest red star in the upper right corner.
Macy's loved this ad! This ran as a full page, in the Sunday edition of the Detroit Free Press when the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup in 2008.
